to produce F-cars in a new color at S.O.P. (Start of Production) it
is necessary to do what is called a "color pull-ahead." While new
colors are built during pilot build, it is important to build a "batch"
of cars in the new color to ensure that paint quality meets the high
standards that General Motors insists upon.

list of paint quality checks and then are shipped to the U.S. for
